Clamping On Your Rails
Attach your rails to the truck using the provided clamps. There is no exact area to position the clamps so simply space them evenly apart. Make sure the rails are all the way forward, as close to the cab as possible. Please note that some trucks have inner rails that taper. This will cause your rails to tilt once clamped. To avoid tilting rails we have therefore provided shims which you will need to peel and stick to the inner lip of your truck rails before you clamp the rails down. Use a shim wherever you position a clamp.
Please refer to the attached guide to determine if your vehicle needs shims and where to position them.
Positioning The Cover On Your Rails
Position your BakFlip cover firmly on your rails and fold back to ensure proper fit.
Begin at the front end and slowly fold the cover back towards the tailgate. Make sure that the rubber lip at the front of your cover fits on top of the bulkhead rail of your truck and that the rubber seal at the tailgate end fits over the top edge of your tailgate.
When you close the cover for the first time as you fold it backwards, you will notice that the latches under the panels will latch to the rails that the cover is sitting on. Make sure that they do in deed latch. Centralize the cover if necessary.
Attaching the cover to the rails
Once you’re comfortable that the cover is fitting correctly inside of your truck rails, it’s time to bolt the cover down.
Take the 2 provided flat headed elevator bolts and drop them through the hole in the front panel of your cover. The bolt will also drop through slotted hole of the plate that extends out each rail.
Once the bolt is in place, fold the cover open again. You can only fold the panels by releasing the latches that keep them down. Do so by pulling on the cable under the panel. This can be done from either the driver or passenger side of the cover. Once folded forward, tighten the elevator bolts with the provided star knobs.
MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A RUBBER WASHER BETWEEN THE STAR KNOB AND THE METAL EXTENSION PLATE. Do not over-tighten the knobs. Tighten them until you feel they are firm.
Connecting the drain tubes
If you have a drop in bedliner, simply run the drain tubes behind or under the liner. Alternatively you will need to locate the best place to drain the hoses. Most trucks have drain plugs on the floor or against the cab. Simply remove these plugs or drill a ¾” hole through the plastic plug.
driving with the cover Open
Assemble arm stay locks by sliding them into the vertical plates and inserting the securing knob into the threaded nut insert. The securing knob should pass through the long slot and should be able to slide up and down. Tightening the knob will keep the stay lock in position.
Your rails have pre-installed components on them such as locking arm stays, extension plates and drain valves. Your rails are pre-assembled and ready to install.
Nissan Titan
For the Nissan TITAN with the Utili-Track System, what adjustments must be made to install this cover? Installation of the BakFlip on the Nissan Titan is simple. Unbolt the Utili-Track and flip it over, keeping the functional side of the Utili-Track rail facing into the bed. By flipping the rail, an additional 1 inch of clearance is gained, enough to install the BakFlip Tonneau Cover. Flipping the Utili-Track system still allows the use of tie downs since the mounting rails are clamped above it.
Nissan Frontier
For the Nissan FRONTIER with the 05+ Utili-Track System, NO ADJUSTMENTS REQUIRED! The BakFlip Cover installs normally as you clamp the mounting rails to the inside lip of the side rails just above the Utili-Track!

Toyota Tundra Detailed Installation Instructions
Will the BakFlip G2/HD work with my Tundra's Track System? The BakFlip is made for both models of the Toyota Tundra. The 26410 model simply clamps on and will work with the Tundra that has NO TRACK SYSTEM. The 26410T model BakFlip has a modified rail system that is designed to work with your Tundra track system. It should be made clear that this particular model of BakFlip rail requires a few self tapping screws to be used to install and does not clamp. The upside is that it’s not at all invasive and renders full use of both the BakFlip cover, and all the features and benefits of the rail system in the Tundra. The part numbers are the same except for the letter “T” added to the end to reflect the Track system, e.g. 26410 or 26410T.
